WHEREAS, the people of the State of Mississippi, in conjunction with the Welcome Home Day Foundation, acknowledge the courage, sacrifice, honor and positive achievements of our nation's Vietnam veterans and their families; and

WHEREAS, over 300,000 men were wounded, 75,000 severely disabled, and of the 58,000 killed, 637 were from the State of Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, the people of the State of Mississippi acknowledge the pain, struggles and sacrifices of the spouses, parents, children and siblings; and

WHEREAS, the people of the State of Mississippi proudly join with the Welcome Home Day Foundation to welcome home our state's Vietnam veterans.

NOW THERIEFORE, 1, Ronnie Musgrove, Governor of the State of Mississippi, do hereby recognize and commend

VIETNAM VETERANS

and I urge all residents to pay tribute to these extraordinary servicemen and women.
